Yesterday, we brought you a letter to the editor that suggested Owen Sound try the ‘Colwood Model’ method of solving doctor shortages.
Today’s letter highlights concerns from a Grey County parent about access to inclusive child care for children with special needs.
With few available spaces and limited time to prepare for an upcoming community meeting hosted by the County on November 13, the writer urges other parents, educators, and allies to take part and ensure lived experiences are heard.
Letter: Families Deserve Inclusion, Not Silence
LETTER TO THE EDITOR: While Ontario celebrates the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program and its promise of “$10-a-day” affordability, many families here can’t find a single space that truly meets their child’s needs. Families are left navigating long waitlists, inconsistent inclusion practices, and unclear communication from those tasked with managing the system.
