Police Investigate Overnight Break and Enter at East-Side Home
Owen Sound police are investigating a break and enter at an east-side home discovered around 4 a.m. and are asking nearby residents for camera footage.
The Owen Sound Police Service is investigating a break and enter at a home on the city’s east side and is asking nearby residents for security and dash-camera footage.
Police say a suspect or suspects unlawfully entered the residence at approximately 4 a.m., and that officers were called after the entry was discovered. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the incident, the service said in a news release.
Investigators are asking residents along 7th Avenue East, between 1st Street East and 6th Street East, to review any security or dash-camera footage recorded between 2 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. for suspicious activity.
Police did not say whether anyone was home when the residence was entered, whether anything was taken, or whether the home was damaged. The release does not give the exact address beyond the east side of the city, or indicate how entry was made.
