We continue our provincial election coverage this morning with an update on yesterday’s poll. As of late evening on February 18, of the 186 respondents to our poll:
42% favour Bonnie Crombie, Liberal, for the next Ontario Premier
22% chose Mike Schreiner, Green Party
20% want to see Doug Ford, PC, continue to lead
13% went with Marit Stiles, NDP
2% had someone else in mind
A quick reminder that, as we reported yesterday, advance polling stations have been announced. Those are open and available to you across Grey and Bruce from February 20 to 22.
But you don’t have to wait, and you don’t need your voter registration card, either, if that’s a concern.
You can vote right now at the local election office in Owen Sound.
In-person voting is open now until 6 PM on February 26 at the BGOS election office. You’ll find it at 625 6th St E, Owen Sound. See the list of acceptable forms of ID here.
So far, in our reader polls, we’ve learned that most of you intend to vote (good on you!), and fully 65% of you chose ‘accessible healthcare’ as the issue that will most influence your vote in this election. We’ve also learned that 49% chose Selwyn Hicks - Liberal as an early frontrunner, and Bonnie Crombie is your top pick for Premier.
Today, we want to know:
Responses are anonymous, and results will be shared in our Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound Votes: 2025 Provincial Election Guide.
