New “End-To-End In 16” Series Announced
This spring, the Sydenham Bruce Trail Club is launching its first-ever End-To-End (E2E) in 16 series — a guided opportunity to complete the entire Sydenham section of the Bruce Trail over 16 hikes.
Unlike traditional bus-supported End-To-End hikes that often cover more than 20 kilometres per day, the new format averages roughly 10 kilometres per outing. Organizers say the goal is to create a more manageable option for newer hikers, those easing into longer distances, or anyone wanting to complete the section at a steadier pace.
The shuttle-based hikes will run from Blantyre to Wiarton across eight two-day blocks:
May 7–8
May 21–22
June 4–5
June 18–19
September 10–11
September 24–25
October 8–9
October 22–23
Registration opens Monday, March 2 at 7 a.m. The cost is $65, and participation is limited to Bruce Trail Conservancy members.
Organizers say the format also offers practical advantages, including built-in car shuttles and the opportunity to hike with qualified leaders while building connections with other local hikers.
Additional Spring Challenge Hikes
Other challenge offerings this season include:
Sydenham Side Trails Challenge (currently full)
End-To-End In 8, expected to fill quickly following registration opening
Trail Running End-To-End, designed for experienced runners seeking a faster-paced completion of the section
More information, including registration details, is available through the Sydenham Bruce Trail Club and the Bruce Trail Conservancy website.
