Sydenham Bruce Trail Club Releases Winter Hikes Lineup for February
The Sydenham Bruce Trail Club invites hikers to explore the Niagara Escarpment this February with a full lineup of guided winter hikes and snowshoe outings.

The Sydenham Bruce Trail Club (SBTC) is inviting residents and visitors to get outside this February with a full schedule of guided winter hikes across the region.
From challenging snowshoe treks through forest reserves to relaxing urban walks in Owen Sound, the month’s offerings showcase the variety and accessibility of the Bruce Trail during winter.
Formed in 1962, the SBTC has been working for over 60 years to preserve and protect the Niagara Escarpment while maintaining access via the Bruce Trail—the country’s oldest and longest public footpath.
The club is one of nine regional groups under the Bruce Trail Conservancy and manages the Sydenham section of the trail, which winds through some of the most scenic and ecologically significant terrain in Grey County.
This February, the club’s volunteer leaders are offering hikes for all experience levels, including brisk “Brisk Fridays,” women-led “WINS” hikes, and relaxed snowshoe outings.
