Owen Sound Current’s Midterm Report on City Council’s Progress & Priorities is underway, and as part of that process, we’ve submitted questions to your elected representatives.
We’re also reviewing the ‘Future Owen Sound - Vision 2050 Survey Report’ published by the City recently, and have requested access to the full survey results. Where is all of this headed?
Well, in January, we plan to release an in-depth look at how your City Council is doing – in your eyes and theirs – at this midway point through their four-year term.
To help inform our questions for Council, we asked readers, “Which topics would you most like to see City Councilors address in their midway report responses?” Respondents were allowed to choose as many topics as they wanted, and these were the top three results:
57% - How they are prioritizing key issues like housing, safety, and infrastructure
53% - Ways they’re incorporating resident feedback into decisions
47% - Approach to budgeting and managing city finances responsibly
