Happy Monday, readers. This week, we’ll be talking about mobility — that is, how people move around the City of Owen Sound and get where they need to go.
Mobility affects community members’ access to employment, education, healthcare services, shopping, social activities, and more. We’re talking about buses, taxis, bike or car-sharing, pedestrian-friendly design, and more. It’s pretty impactful stuff.
The question is, how are we doing as a community now?
Let us know what you think, and stay tuned.
Community
Every Sunday, volunteers with ‘Owen Sound Food Not Bombs’ gather in the Harmony Centre kitchen to cook and serve nourishing meals for anyone who needs one. It’s more than food; it’s connection, care, and community in action.
This month, local chef Jeff Rockwell shares one of their latest dishes, served at a recent Solidarity Sundays event: 3-Bean Chili “Cheese” on Roasted Potatoes. It’s a comforting, crowd-pleasing meal perfect for potlucks or family dinners. Try it at home, or stop by and grab a plate in person.
Public Notice
Bluewater District School Board meets Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the board office in Chesley. The agenda is posted on their website on Mondays.
