Join us for the fourth event in our new Sound Ideas: A Community Education Series—a monthly opportunity to deepen our understanding, spark conversation, and move toward collective action.
This session is designed to inform service users, system navigators, and community members about the principles and impact of Coordinated Access and the By-Name List.
Participants will explore proven best practices from communities across North America and examine how these approaches have contributed to measurable reductions in chronic homelessness.
Using local and national data, the workshop will highlight how Coordinated Access can be leveraged to prioritize individuals with the greatest needs, helping them transition from homelessness to stable, long-term housing.
Attendees will gain insight into the opportunities available within our own community to strengthen collaboration and improve outcomes for those we serve.
Presented by Caitlin Currie (she/her). Caitlin Currie is a dedicated system navigator and homelessness advocate who leads Grey County’s coordinated response to homelessness.
As the Homelessness Response Supervisor, she oversees the County’s Short Term Shelter Program, encampment response initiatives, and outreach services, ensuring compassionate and effective support for individuals experiencing homelessness. Her career has been shaped by a commitment to social justice, beginning with her early work in academia and continuing through her role as an anti-oppression educator and advocate. Caitlin’s approach is rooted in equity, collaboration, and a belief in the dignity and resilience of every person.
