We asked you yesterday:

With over 200 respondents weighing in, 90% weren’t aware of the City’s plans to “remember without shame those lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief of loved ones left behind, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths, and try to find ways to reduce the incidence and impacts of overdose” on Saturday.

Hopefully, this much-needed conversation will continue once Council is back in session on September 9.

In today’s news, we have an update from police on a grocery store robbery and assault on the Sunset Strip.

We’ve spoken with a student from OSDSS who has not been allowed to start school with her service dog. As a result, we got an education ourselves on the bureaucracy around service dogs in Ontario schools. The complexity of this issue may surprise you if you assumed (as I did) that people with disabilities had a protected right to take their service animals anywhere they’re needed.
