In today’s edition: A group working on regional housing solutions has submitted formal recommendations to the City of Owen Sound as part of its Official Plan amendment process.

In the letter, the Social Finance and Housing Group of the Institute of Southern Georgian Bay commends the city for progress, but outlines several areas for improvement — including stronger definitions of affordability, added support for nonmarket housing, and new planning tools to help address the city’s housing shortage.

  • Owen Sound’s Community Services Committee meets on Wednesday, November 19, at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.
