Healthcare cuts in rural communities remain a contentious topic across Grey and Bruce counties.
Save the Durham Hospital Committee plans to protest outside the South Bruce Grey Health Centre Annual General Meeting this afternoon, and they want answers.
Committee co-chair Jana White says SGBHC representatives have refused to meet with the grassroots group of concerned citizens “since the community was blindsided by their decision of April 24th.”

The Save the Durham Hospital Committee and concerned Durham Area residents will attend this Annual General Meeting and protest outside the hotel, demanding the SBGHC justify the removal of in-patient beds from the Durham Hospital and the reduction of the hospital emergency ward to ten hours a day.
