Good morning. We’re starting today with something to look forward to: the summer arts season across Grey-Bruce, which is just hitting its stride.
It’s a full month. Galleries from Owen Sound to Wiarton, Saugeen Shores and Port Elgin are hanging fresh shows, the studios and maker spaces are running classes from clay to floral design, and the festival calendar is starting to fill in. The music is back, too — Harbour Nights returns to the waterfront this Sunday, free every week through the summer, with the Leith and Sweetwater festivals already on the horizon.
Whether you wander a single gallery on a quiet afternoon, bring the family down to a free concert, or turn out to support a young artist getting their first show, there’s plenty to choose from. Nicole Egan rounds it all up to start today’s edition, in her community arts column below.
