Paulette Lauren Peirol passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at Chapman House on Monday, February 5th, 2024, at the age of 60.

Paulette was the City of Owen Sound’s Tourism Marketing Coordinator for over a decade. Upon leaving that post, she accepted a position as Community Development Coordinator with the Municipality of Brockton.

Outside of work, Paulette was a devoted mother, a trusted friend to many, and the beloved partner of Steve Furness. As her children wrote in a beautiful and moving obituary on the Woods Funeral Home website, Paulette lived an exceptional life.

Today, we share a tribute written by their father, Michael Den Tandt, who reflects back on her earlier years in journalism, adventure travel, and family life.
