Update: OPP Say Multiple Homes Were Entered During Howdenvale Incident; Suspect Photos Released
Grey Bruce OPP are investigating a series of break and enters in the Howdenvale area on Monday and searching for one suspect. A stolen pickup truck was recovered during the search.
Grey Bruce OPP say they are now investigating a series of break and enters following a large police response in the Howdenvale area Monday afternoon.
Police were called to a possible break-in in progress on Howdenvale Road at about 2:03 p.m. on April 21.
When officers arrived, they discovered that multiple homes in the area had been entered, according to an update released Wednesday afternoon.
The incident prompted a large-scale search involving the OPP Aviation Unit, Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team.
During that search, officers recovered a pickup truck that had been reported stolen earlier from Wiarton.
Police say the suspect remains outstanding.
Grey Bruce OPP released the above photos of the suspect and are warning the public not to approach the individual. Anyone who sees the suspect is asked to call 911 immediately.
Residents and businesses in the area are also being asked to review surveillance footage from the afternoon and evening of April 21 for any suspicious activity.
