It’s difficult to picture frosty sidewalks, or even a crisp fall breeze, right now when early October feels like July. But the hunker-down weather will come back soon enough, and with it the need for easy ways to get out of the house and see each other.

Solidarity Sundays returns to the Harmony Centre for its third season starting Sunday, Oct. 19. This volunteer-run social opens the lower hall 10:30 a.m.–noon every Sunday through spring. Entry is by donation, coffee and tea are provided, potluck snacks are welcome, and the space is fully accessible.

The vibe is deliberately casual, with board games, crafts, stories, music, table tennis, bean bags, and plenty of conversation across ages.

Owen Sound Food Not Bombs will again cook in the basement kitchen from 10 a.m., offering meals by donation on site and distributing food in the community later in the day.
