When Hurricane Melissa tore through western Jamaica, it left devastation that stretched from St. Elizabeth to Black River. Now, a nationwide relief effort is taking shape — and Grey County is part of it.

In this edition, Owen Sound Current brings you an exclusive interview with two of the people behind the Shirt Off My Back Campaign: internationally recognized chef and Grey County’s first Culinary Ambassador Roger Mooking, and Olympic gold medallist Donovan Bailey.

With grassroots beginnings and a growing network of partners, the campaign is collecting critical supplies for the hardest-hit communities, and a major local drop-off is happening on November 16 in Berkeley.
