Arlen Wiebe wants the community to know he and his wife, Heather, are grateful for everyone who helped search for their daughter, Meredith, on Saturday and Sunday.
“We are very thankful to everyone who has brought meals over to our house,” he added. “We have lots of food now, and we can't store much more in our fridge and freezer.”
Arlen is an occasional Owen Sound Current columnist and the organizer of the Owen Sound Memoir Series. He’s also a familiar face at East Ridge School (and previously, at Sydenham) and other venues where he’s taught guitar, piano, ukelele, and violin lessons for several years.
We extend our deepest condolences to Arlen, Heather, their family, and everyone who knew and loved Meredith.
Rebecca Weight, a friend of the family, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help cover immediate costs. She writes, “On March 16th, 2024, Meredith tragically lost her struggle with her mental health. I am raising funds to assist Arlen and Heather with the funeral costs and provide financial support to allow them time off work to begin the process of grieving their loss.”
