Yesterday, we wondered where all the council candidates are hiding. And just like that, another contender has thrown his hat in the ring.

David William Schinbein has entered the race for a seat on City of Owen Sound council, bringing the pool for those seven open positions to five candidates.

There are still five in the running to lead the next council as mayor, too.

You’ll see the registered candidates as they appear on the City’s OwenSoundVotes.ca list, and more info and coverage in our 2026 Municipal Election Guide.
