The 2024 City of Owen Sound proposed budget is not set in stone. As part of the process, City staff have been making updates – and they’ll continue to do so as they receive new information and direction from the City Manager and Council.
In his latest Letter to the Editor, Jim Hutton raises concerns about some of these proposed changes.
Among his suggestions, Hutton advocates for a hiring freeze, defunding the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority, getting rid of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery, and consolidating management positions at City Hall.
