“David Suzuki says he’s living in the ‘death zone.’ He’s 88, almost a decade older than me, but I know what he means.
Each moment seems so precious.
Each person who has inspired me, worked alongside of me, devoted so much of their lives to the arts, is so dear to me.”
Liz Zetlin has shared her talents and passion with our community as Owen Sound’s first Poet Laureate, artistic director of the Words Aloud Festival, and one of the driving forces behind Climate Action Team Owen Sound and Grey Bruce Climate Action Network.
She co-produced and directed Resilience: Transforming Our Community, is the author of several books of poetry, and was the first recipient of Owen Sound’s “Outstanding Individual in the Arts” award.
In today’s edition, Liz thanks the community for the recognition she received through Owen Sound’s Arts & Culture Lifetime Achievement award.
