Well, did we make it through April Fool’s Day unscathed? I’m not a fan myself. This year, April 1 and Easter Monday fell on the same day, which meant kicking off the holiday with an influx of calls and messages asking if I’d heard Costco was coming to Owen Sound.
(Judging by the response, if that ever does happen, community members will be excited and outraged in equal measures.)
April Fool’s isn’t all bad, though. The occasional reminder for people not to believe everything they see or hear is a good one.
