Today’s community column comes from the Owen Sound Field Naturalists, whose members have been active across the region — from young naturalists tending bluebird boxes to cyclists supporting the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere.
The club also received provincial recognition for its conservation work along the Bruce Trail recently. Here’s what’s new from the group:
Owen Sound Field Naturalists Recognized with Bruce Trail Conservancy Award
From the Gravel Gran Fondo to bird banding and youth programs, OSFN marks a season of community engagement and environmental action.
P.S. ICYMI, the OSFN are hosting a very special guest this evening at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. Renowned wildlife biologist Dr. Martyn Obbard will give a talk on the ecology and behaviour of the unique Saugeen Bruce Peninsula black bear population. More info on that right here.
