Daniel Allen Cox is a celebrated queer writer from Montréal. His highly-acclaimed book, “I Felt the End Before It Came: Memoirs of a Queer Ex-Jehovah’s Witness,” is a collection of powerful essays where he processes his complicated past through a queer lens. 

His book explores his journey of growing up in a strict religious community, being shunned for his sexual orientation, and then finding freedom from stifling beliefs and acceptance of his queerness. 

“I Felt the End Before It Came” was a finalist for the 2023 Grand Prix du livre de Montréal and was named one of the best books of 2023 by Publishers Weekly and one of the best audiobooks of 2023 by Audible.
