A working group consisting of seven local police forces, Crime Stoppers, and Victim Services has identified the top four highest-priority issues to tackle for crime prevention in Grey and Bruce.
The Crime Prevention Action Table was formed in December 2023 out of the Community Safety and Well Being Planning group. According to the organization, they’re supported by an advisory committee that brings together over 70 partners from across Grey-Bruce.
These committee members are working together to address crime prevention by investing in social development, prevention, and risk interventions. While we have first responders and various organizations providing services to those impacted by crime in our communities, this group focuses on “creating protective factors that make individuals less vulnerable to crime and victimization.”
