A Vancouver police officer is cycling across Canada to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society’s Cops for Cancer, and you’re invited to help welcome him to Tobermory on Friday morning.
Sergeant Dayne Campbell has participated in the Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast for fifteen years, covering 12,000 kms and raising $140,000 in the process.
This year, he’s cycling solo from coast to coast on a personal mission, as his own daughter has been diagnosed with a rare cancer.
Campbell left Vancouver on May 6 and plans to complete the journey in 60 days.
