We begin today with a letter to the editor, from a reader who has gone over Natural Resources Canada's answer on Indigenous consent for new nuclear development in Saugeen Ojibway Nation territory and found two words in it he says give the department's position away.
He also points to a passage of the United Nations declaration he says leaves no room for them.

For that reporting, we twice pressed the department on whether it shares SON’s position that consent is required for new nuclear development in its territory.
Twice it declined to say yes or no, instead describing the Crown’s duty to consult and casting consent as the objective of consultation rather than a requirement. Read more:
