“On Saturday, February 17, the Georgian Bay Symphony will be reaching for the stars and bringing back to Earth some of the most famous and beloved pieces of music ever written: music that either celebrates outer space or which is popular from science-fiction.
All the biggies are there: the Blue Danube Waltz and Thus Spake Zarathustra from 2001: A Space Odyssey, the Star Wars theme, music from Star Trek, some Holst, and much more. This GBS program is an invitation to simply sit back and bliss out in a distant corner of the galaxy, light years from the hurly burly of planet Earth.”
