Summer is in full swing, and this weekend, the region is brimming with things to do, see, and experience. Whether you're looking for a quiet creative outlet, a lively concert, or an evening under the stars, you have options… plenty of them.

Friday kicks off with a movie under the open sky at Harrison Park, a family-friendly evening that invites neighbours to pull up a blanket and enjoy the big screen as dusk settles in.

Over at the Roxy, a younger generation takes the stage in Mean Girls JR, while art lovers can try their hand at painting a vibrant hummingbird at Upwards Art. If you're craving something a little spicier, head to Parkwood Restaurant for a Detroit Pizza Party with DJ Strobe, or swing by the Harmony Centre for an afternoon performance by Rosin Dust.

Saturday doesn’t slow down. Grey Roots Museum hosts a hands-on canning workshop in the morning, followed by a stunning display of antique cars in the afternoon. At GB Arts, you can learn needle felting, try your hand at caricature drawing, or spend a few hours immersed in creative exploration.

As the sun sets, the stage comes alive, from Celtic sounds at the Ceilidh in Leith to rock and blues at Parkwood, and the ever-popular Campfire Poets lighting up the night at Cobble Beach.

Sunday, you can start your morning with yoga at the Harmony Centre or take a pottery or watercolour workshop at GB Arts. Music lovers can catch not one, but two acclaimed concerts: the Gryphon Trio performs at Leith Church in the afternoon as part of the Leith Summer Festival, followed by the TD Harbour Nights series featuring Suzie Vinnick and Bradley Hale along the waterfront. There's even a chance to tour Trinity Annan during a special Doors Open event.

That’s just a small taste. You’ll find a full list of events with details, times, locations, and links to learn more below — enjoy!
