Today’s editorial is about one question we plan to put to candidates, and it doesn’t involve a road, a budget line or a building. It’s about the ballot itself — how Owen Sound elects the people who make those decisions, and whether that structure serves us as well as we assume.

Every municipality in Grey County elects its council at large. Half of Bruce County doesn’t. Owen Sound is the largest municipality in either county where no voter has a councillor of their own.
