30% feel Owen Sound Council does not represent their values and best interests at all.
46% feel Owen Sound Council somewhat represents their values and best interests
18% feel Owen Sound Council does an average job at representing their values and best interests
6% feel Owen Sound Council represents their values and best interests very well.
Fifty people isn’t a statistically significant study. Yet as we continue to discuss the utility of Public Question Period, Town Halls (or a lack thereof), and public engagement, it’s clear there’s a disconnect.
On the flip side, this means there’s ample opportunity for members of Council to better connect with constituents. What might that look like? Share a letter to the editor with your ideas. It is frustrating to hear about housing announcements when we don’t have access to the funds needed for this (St. Clare Place) project. At this time, the project is short $600,000 in capital to make it viable.
