Ahead of Monday’s council meeting, we asked you:

With 50 respondents:

  • 30% feel Owen Sound Council does not represent their values and best interests at all.

  • 46% feel Owen Sound Council somewhat represents their values and best interests

  • 18% feel Owen Sound Council does an average job at representing their values and best interests

  • 6% feel Owen Sound Council represents their values and best interests very well.

Fifty people isn’t a statistically significant study. Yet as we continue to discuss the utility of Public Question Period, Town Halls (or a lack thereof), and public engagement, it’s clear there’s a disconnect.

Don’t have enough for a full letter? Send me your ideas at owensoundcurrenteditor@gmail.com and if we receive enough input, I’ll bring your suggestions together in a column.
