Three Facing Charges as Stolen SUV Recovered in Dundalk Parking Lot
A routine patrol in Dundalk led Grey Bruce OPP to a stolen vehicle early Tuesday. Three people, from Milton and Brantford, have been charged and are due in court next month.
A vehicle reported stolen in Peel Region was located early Tuesday morning in Dundalk, leading to the arrest of three individuals now facing criminal charges.
Shortly after midnight on August 6, officers with the Grey Bruce OPP were patrolling the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in Dundalk when they noticed a white 2016 Nissan Rogue idling without licence plates. The vehicle was occupied by three people.
According to police, a check confirmed the SUV had been reported stolen on August 4. All three occupants were arrested at the scene without incident.
Philip Dickson, 31, of Milton faces five charges, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (two counts), possession of break-in instruments, failure to comply with a probation order, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Graham Drennan, 43, of Brantford, and Saleena Smith, 34, also of Milton, have each been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
All three have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on September 18.
