Three Charged with Trafficking After Drug Seizure Near Paisley
South Bruce OPP arrested three individuals near Paisley on June 6, seizing suspected fentanyl, cocaine, crack, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Three individuals, including a youth, are facing trafficking charges following an early morning drug seizure by South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) near Paisley.
At approximately 1:45 a.m. on Friday, June 6, officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Goldie Street in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie. Police located the vehicle shortly after along Bruce Road 1, just outside the village.
According to OPP, suspected illicit drugs were observed in plain view within the vehicle. All three occupants were arrested at the scene and searched. The search led to the seizure of approximately 10 grams of suspected cocaine, 5 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 16 grams of suspected fentanyl, and various items consistent with drug use and trafficking.
The following individuals have been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA):
Wayne Brideau, 44, of New Brunswick, was charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Jessica Wilson, 40, of Hanover, for possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
And a 16-year-old youth, also of Hanover (not named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act), faces two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and one of failure to comply with an undertaking.
