Tenor Marcel D’Entremont to Captivate at Leith Summer Festival, July 26
Experience tenor Marcel D’Entremont live at Leith Summer Festival on July 26, joined by pianist Dakota Scott-Digout for an unforgettable evening of voice and piano.

Acclaimed Canadian tenor Marcel D’Entremont will perform at the Leith Summer Festival on Friday, July 26 at 7:30 p.m., promising an evening of emotional resonance and vocal brilliance inside the acoustically stunning Historic Leith Church.
Accompanied by celebrated pianist Dakota Scott-Digout, D’Entremont will guide the audience on a musical journey spanning genres—from the Beatles' “Yesterday” to timeless classics like “Let Me Call You Sweetheart.”
The program will also feature romantic piano solos by Scott-Digout, a sought-after collaborative pianist active in several top-tier Toronto choral ensembles.
“Marcel can sing music from Broadway, to arias, to Cape Breton folk with utter conviction,” said Leith Summer Festival Artistic Director Jeremy Bell. “His voice is so fluid and alluring that you can’t help but be swept away.”
Originally from rural Nova Scotia, D’Entremont was recently named one of CBC Music’s "30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30." He has since garnered acclaim for his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence on stages across North America and Europe. His partnership with Scott-Digout earned them the prestigious Wirth Vocal Prize, considered Canada’s top academic music award.
Scott-Digout, who holds degrees from Université de Montréal and Mount Allison University, is currently completing his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Toronto and contributes to the artistic teams of the Toronto Children’s Chorus, Nathaniel Dett Chorale, and VOCA Chorus of Toronto.
The Leith Summer Festival is a charitable organization, and all proceeds from the concert support the ongoing preservation of the Historic Leith Church. The venue is air-conditioned and widely praised for its exceptional acoustics.
