MEDIA RELEASE
On Saturday, November 23, the holiday shopping season continues with the annual Sydenham Makers’ Market at the Sydenham Campus in Owen Sound (1130 8th St. E). From 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., more than 20 local and youth artisan vendors are taking over the former school to showcase and sell a variety of crafts and products.
“The Makers’ Market is a perfect opportunity to find well-crafted, locally made gifts for someone special on your list, or to get a little something to spoil yourself,” said Grey County’s Business Enterprise Centre Manager, Courtney Miller.
During the market, the Sydenham Campus is also hosting a public open house. Visitors are welcome to tour the facility and visit tenants including STEMVOX, Reading Rescue, Catapult x Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre, the Grey County Early Learning Hub, Business Enterprise Centre, and Georgian College. The Grey Bruce Maker Space will also be open for tours showcasing the 8,000 makerspace and state-of-the-art equipment.
There will also be music by the Owen Sound City Band and light refreshments courtesy of REACH.
The Makers Market and Open House are hosted by Grey County and Grey Bruce Makers Space. There is no charge to attend.
