Owen Sound City Council meets Monday, April 29, with open session beginning at 5:30pm in council chambers.

You can view the meeting via Rogers TV or on the City’s Council and Committees webpage.

Now, here’s a look at what’s coming up at Monday’s meeting.

Highlights:

  • Council will approve three (3) new business licenses and four (4) Short-Term Rental licenses

  • Council will receive a staff report announcing that the Tourism office is moving into the Art Gallery

  • Council will receive Operations Committee minutes including the ‘2023 Collision Report’ with detailed statistics on traffic collisions between vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists throughout the city

  • Colleen Purdon will give a presentation about the upcoming One World Festival

  • Details about the Owen Sound Attack’s ‘simplified’ 10-year lease agreement with the City

  • Councilor Jon Farmer will ask Council to support an increase to social assistance and the movement for guaranteed livable income
