South Bruce OPP Lay Multiple Impaired Driving Charges Over Long Weekend
Three people face impaired driving charges in Kincardine, Brockton, and MacGregor Point Provincial Park. A fourth individual faces charges related to intimate partner violence.

Arrest made at MacGregor Point Provincial Park
A Toronto resident is facing an impaired driving charge following an incident at MacGregor Point Provincial Park. On August 4 at approximately 10:14 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver within the park grounds.
According to the South Bruce OPP, officers located the vehicle and, after speaking with the driver, observed signs of impairment. The individual was arrested and transported for further testing.
As a result, 35-year-old Conor Brown of Toronto has been charged with operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration (B.A.C.) over 80. The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Walkerton on October 1.
Impaired driving charge laid after traffic stop near Elmwood
Police laid an impaired driving charge following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Brockton. On August 3 at approximately 8:04 p.m., an officer conducted a stop along Bruce Road 10 outside of Elmwood.
After detecting signs of impairment, the driver was arrested and taken for further testing.
As a result, 39-year-old Shane Cruickshank of Kincardine was charged with operating a vehicle with a B.A.C. over 80. The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Walkerton on September 10.
Traffic complaint in Kincardine leads to impaired driving charge
An impaired driving investigation was initiated following a traffic complaint in Kincardine. Police say the incident occurred around 1:55 a.m. on August 1, when officers responded to a report on Queen Street.
After speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing.
As a result, 36-year-old Avard Barker of Kincardine has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. The court date is set for September 10 in Walkerton.
Charges laid following intimate partner violence investigation in Brockton
A 22-year-old from Hanover is facing multiple charges after an incident involving intimate partner violence in Walkerton.
On August 4, South Bruce OPP responded to a report that a person had made death threats to their partner before intentionally driving into a parked vehicle at a residence. The suspect fled the scene but was later arrested.
Following the investigation, the individual was charged with uttering threats to cause death, mischief over $5,000, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and impaired operation. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
