South Bruce OPP Lay Multiple Charges After Collisions, Vandalism, Impaired Driving & Search for Two Suspects

Two Women Found & Arrested After Fail-to-Remain Collision Near Walkerton
Two individuals have been taken into custody following a fail-to-remain collision west of Walkerton on the afternoon of July 16, 2025.
According to the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the incident occurred at approximately 2:55 p.m. at the intersection of Concession 2 and Sideroad 5 in Greenock, within the Municipality of Brockton.
Two women fled the scene on foot after a collision involving two vehicles. Police issued a description of the suspects—both females in their late 20s to early 30s with brown hair, carrying green reusable grocery bags—and appealed to the public for assistance.
Later that afternoon, at 5:00 p.m., West Region OPP reported that a member of the public had spotted the individuals and notified authorities. With this information, officers were able to locate and arrest the two women.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone with additional information or dashcam footage from the area to contact South Bruce OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Serious Collision in South Bruce Sends One to Trauma Centre
South Bruce OPP received a report of the collision at approximately 7:05 a.m. on July 16, 2025. The incident took place at the intersection of Concession 4 and Sideroad 20.
One of the involved drivers sustained serious injuries and was transported by Ornge Air Ambulance to a trauma centre in the London area. The intersection remained closed to traffic as the investigation continued.
The South Bruce OPP is asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has information to contact them.

Driver Charged with Impaired Operation After Collision in Brockton
A 28-year-old South Bruce resident is facing an impaired driving charge following an early-morning collision in the Municipality of Brockton.
At approximately 1:03 a.m. on July 11, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Yonge Street South at Highway 9. When officers arrived on scene, they found that a vehicle had struck a light standard.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. While attending the hospital, the investigating officer observed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, Leobardo Sanchez Sanchez, 28, of the Municipality of South Bruce, has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (B.A.C.) 80 Plus, contrary to Section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on August 24, 2025.
Two Charged for Damages to Chepstow Ball Diamond
Two individuals from the Municipality of Brockton are facing charges after police responded to a report of property damage at the Chepstow ball diamonds.
On July 12, 2025, at approximately 8:31 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report that a pick-up truck and an off-road vehicle had driven through the field the previous evening. Tire marks and other damage were discovered at the scene, prompting a mischief investigation.
As a result, 18-year-old Cory Harron of Brockton has been charged with mischief for destroying or damaging property under the Criminal Code. A 17-year-old, also from Brockton, is facing multiple charges including mischief, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and obstructing a peace officer. The identity of the youth is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Both accused are scheduled to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on September 3, 2025.

Kincardine Resident Charged with Impaired Driving Following Traffic Stop Near Paisley
A traffic stop in Arran-Elderslie has resulted in impaired driving charges for a Kincardine resident.
On Saturday, July 12, 2025, at approximately 10:49 p.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a vehicle check along Bruce Road 3, just outside of Paisley in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie. During the stop, the officer detected signs of impairment and the driver was taken into custody.
Following further testing, 42-year-old Leslie Janeiro of Kincardine was charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus), contrary to Section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
Janeiro is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on August 27, 2025.
