Snowmobile Reported Stolen from Rural Chatsworth Trailhead
Police are investigating the theft of a black 2012 Ski-Doo MXZ snowmobile reported stolen from a rural trail access point in Chatsworth. Here's what we know.
The Grey Bruce OPP is investigating the theft of a snowmobile reported missing from a rural trail access point in the Township of Chatsworth earlier this month.
According to police, the vehicle was last seen around 8:00 p.m. on December 30, 2025, after the rider left it parked on an unmaintained section of Holland/Sydenham Townline, just east of Concession 3A.
The snowmobile had reportedly run out of fuel, and the operator planned to return to retrieve it. When they came back, the machine was gone.
The theft was officially reported to police on January 4, 2026.
The stolen vehicle is described as a black 2012 Ski-Doo MXZ, bearing Ontario licence plate 9AD871 and VIN 2BPSMZCD9CV000001.
Police are asking anyone with information about the theft to contact the Grey Bruce OPP at 1-888-310-1122, quoting occurrence number E260014823.
Tipsters who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web tip at www.cstip.ca, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
