Safe ‘N Sound Receives $36,100 From 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce
Safe ‘N Sound receives $36,100 from 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce to support accessibility improvements for its overnight shelter services.

Safe ‘N Sound has received a record donation of $36,100 from 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce, chosen by members at the group’s September meeting.
The funds will go toward improving accessibility for Safe ‘N Sound’s expanding overnight services, which support people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in the Owen Sound area.
Safe ‘N Sound provides a range of services and advocacy for vulnerable community members, offering both emergency shelter and daytime supports aimed at building dignity, safety, and stability.
The donation marks the largest single contribution since the Grey Bruce chapter of 100 Women Who Care was founded. The group, which meets quarterly, brings together local women who each contribute $100 at every meeting. Members nominate and vote on charitable organizations, with all collected funds going to the chosen recipient.
As membership grows, so does the group’s impact. Organizers say the collective model allows residents to make a tangible difference for local charities addressing urgent community needs.
The next meeting of 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce is scheduled for November 1, 2025, at the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton.
