Repair Café Returns to Owen Sound Library September 13
Repair Café returns September 13 to Owen Sound library, where community members can learn repair skills, reduce waste, and extend the life of items.

The Owen Sound North Grey Union Public Library will host the next Repair Café on Saturday, September 13, from 1 to 4 p.m.
The monthly event brings community volunteers together to help residents fix broken household items for free. Typical repairs include clothing, jewellery, electronics, small furniture, and mechanical items.
Participants are encouraged to bring along user manuals or technical information if available, which can help volunteers complete the work.
Repair Cafés are intended to cut down on waste, extend the life of everyday items, and share repair skills. Tools and materials are supplied on site. If visitors don’t have anything to repair, they can still join for refreshments, conversation, or to watch and learn.
The initiative is part of a global movement, with more than 2,500 Repair Cafés operating worldwide. In Owen Sound, it runs on the second Saturday of each month and is supported by the Georgian Bluffs Climate Action Team in partnership with the library.
Registration is required upon arrival. Those interested in volunteering can contact organizers at GBOSRepairCafe@gmail.com. More information is available on the library website: Repair Café – Owen Sound Library.
