Police Seek Public Assistance in Markdale Robbery Investigation
Police seek help identifying a suspect involved in a March 20 robbery in Markdale. The female suspect is described as very thin, 5'2", with red sparkly nails, wearing a camo hat and grey sweater.
Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred at a Markdale business earlier this week.
According to Grey Bruce OPP, the incident took place on Wednesday, March 20, at approximately 9:15 p.m. The suspect entered a business on Toronto Street and informed the victim that it was a robbery, demanding cash. Roughly $150 was taken before the suspect fled southbound on Highway 10 in an unidentified vehicle, heading toward Flesherton.
No injuries were reported.
Police describe the suspect as a white female, approximately 5’2” tall, with a very thin build and a deep, feminine voice. At the time of the robbery, the suspect’s fingernails were painted bright red with sparkles.
She was last seen wearing a camouflage baseball cap, a grey "CATERPILLAR" hoodie, black pants, white shoes, a red bandana, and ski goggles.
Investigators are asking anyone with video surveillance footage from the area around Toronto Street and Highway 10—particularly from before and after 9:15 p.m. on March 20—or anyone with relevant information to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
