Police Link Georgian Bluffs, Meaford, and Grey Highlands Thefts to London Man
Grey Bruce OPP have arrested a 44-year-old London resident following a multi-county investigation into summer thefts of boats, trailers, and watercraft.

A London man faces more than a dozen charges following an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigation that connected a series of vehicle and watercraft thefts across several counties, including Grey Bruce.
According to Grey Bruce OPP, the investigation involved thefts of boats, Seadoos, and trailers reported in multiple jurisdictions throughout the summer.
One of the incidents occurred on July 20, 2025, when two watercraft were stolen from a commercial property in Georgian Bluffs. Surveillance footage captured a silver SUV and a white pickup truck entering a lot off Highway 6-21 between 6:17 and 6:24 p.m.
The SUV left towing a green 2022 Seadoo GTI personal watercraft, while the pickup truck departed with a Zodiac centre-console inflatable boat.
Another related theft was reported on August 1 in Grey Highlands. Investigators say a trailer containing food and catering equipment was stolen from a property on Highway 10 sometime overnight between July 31 and August 1.
A third incident took place on July 24 in Meaford. At about 2:11 p.m., a white Buick Enclave and a blue Ford F-250 entered a property near Grey Road 12 and removed a 20-foot Smoker Craft Phantom boat with a 175-horsepower Suzuki outboard motor.
The boat had been stored on a steel tandem trailer. Police later linked that theft to the same suspect.
On October 1, members of the Grey Bruce and Middlesex Community Street Crime Units executed a search warrant at a home on Sevilla Park Place in London, where they arrested one individual.
Michael Lina, 44, of London, has been charged with 14 Criminal Code offences related to break and enter, vehicle theft, and possession of stolen property. The charges span several jurisdictions, including Grey Bruce, Perth County, Chatham-Kent, and London.
Lina was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound. A further bail hearing is scheduled for October 6.
