Owen Sound Police Searching for Honda Civic in Fatal Hit-and-Run
Owen Sound Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred Saturday. Few details have been released, but an update is expected soon.
Police are searching for the vehicle and person believed responsible after a hit-and-run on the eastside of Owen Sound around 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning claimed the life of a young man.
Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS) confirmed Saturday evening that they are investigating, then released an appeal for information early Sunday morning.
A man walking in the area of 5th Street East and 5th Avenue East was struck by a car believed to be a white Honda Civic, model year 2016 to 2021. The driver did not remain at the scene.
Police say they expect the car will have front-end damage.
Investigators are now appealing to the public for assistance.
