Parks Canada Urges Planning & Warns Visitors Without Bruce Peninsula Reservations Will Be Turned Away
All parking and camping spots at Bruce Peninsula National Park are fully booked for the Civic Holiday weekend. Visitors without reservations are being asked to choose another date.

With the Civic Holiday weekend approaching, Parks Canada is urging travellers without reservations to delay their plans to visit Bruce Peninsula National Park, as all parking and camping slots are now fully booked.
The federal agency confirmed that once the parking lots are full, there is no alternate way into the national park. This means there is no public access to the Grotto, Halfway Log Dump, or Cyprus Lake Trails without a confirmed parking or camping reservation.
High Demand Prompts Capacity Warnings at Bruce Peninsula National Park
The warning follows a similar pattern from last year, when more than 2,100 vehicles without reservations were turned away during the same long weekend.
Although entry to national parks is free this summer under the federal government’s Canada Strong Pass initiative (offering free admission and a 25% discount on camping through September 2) Parks Canada is reminding visitors that reservations are still required.
Standard fees still apply for services such as parking, dive tags, and third-party tours.
An accessibility parking permit is also required for designated accessible parking spots. Without valid documentation, entry to those spots will be denied.
Parks Canada is encouraging visitors to plan their trip for a future date if they have not secured a reservation. Bookings can be made online at reservation.pc.gc.ca or by phone at 1-877-737-3783.
