Owen Sound Tourism Development Fund Awards $54,000 in Spring Funding
Owen Sound’s Tourism Development Fund has awarded $54,000 to eight projects, including festivals, events and waterfront improvements, in its spring 2026 funding round.

The Owen Sound Tourism Development Fund (OSTDF) has awarded $54,000 to eight projects in its spring 2026 intake, supporting initiatives aimed at boosting tourism and year-round visitation in the city.
The funding follows a March 23 application deadline and includes a mix of festivals, events, marketing campaigns, and infrastructure improvements.
Among the funded projects is a harbour access and waterfront improvement initiative focused on a dock system.
Event and festival funding recipients include the Georgian Bay Folk Society’s Snowfolk Club Music Series, a motoring festival featuring Cars & Coffee and related programming, a major country concert, the NRTHLGHT Festival, the 2027 Top OHL Prospects Game, and Bandit Fest 2026.
A marketing grant was also awarded for the Nature’s Gateway campaign.
The Tourism Development Fund is supported through municipal accommodation tax revenues and is intended to fund projects that attract visitors and support local economic activity.
The previous intake distributed $93,000 to 10 organizations and projects, indicating a smaller funding round this spring.
The OSTDF is administered by a local committee, which is currently seeking additional voting members. The next application intake is scheduled to open September 1, 2026.
