Owen Sound Mini Con Returns to Public Library May 3
Release your inner nerd at the 13th annual Owen Sound Mini Con, returning to the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library with cosplay, gaming, artists, and more.
The 13th annual Owen Sound Mini Con (OSMiCon) returns to the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library on Saturday, May 3.
Starting at 10:00 a.m., the library will transform into a celebration of comics, gaming, and fandom culture. The event features a full day of programming, including videogame tournaments, board games hosted by Scenic City Game Emporium, button making, prize draws, a Stranger Things photo wall, prop building, and more.
Cosplayers are encouraged to come in costume to participate in the kids’ cosplay parade at 11:00 a.m., or to compete in the cosplay competition at 3:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. Registration for the competition will be available throughout the day in Youth Services on Level 5.
While most activities are free, some costs apply for food purchases, button making, and select fundraisers. Donations to support the future of OSMiCon will also be accepted.

Button Maker: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. ($0.50 per button)
Prop Building Sandbox: 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Kids' Crafts and Papercrafts: All day
Cosplay Parade: 11:00 a.m.
Cosplay Competition: 3:00 p.m.
Local creators will showcase and sell handmade art, comics, jewelry, fandom merchandise, and more at the Artists’ Alley, featuring exhibitors including Kim’s Creative Curiosities, Doodle Darts, Meg Inques, Becky Robinson, Matt Bors, Cedar and Sage Designs, Mike Weiss, Luckless Ghoul, and 1st Owen Sound Scouting.
OSMiCon welcomes fans of all ages and backgrounds to come together and celebrate creativity, community, and shared fandoms. Admission is mostly free, and visitors are encouraged to bring cash for purchases and donations.
