Owen Sound Man Facing Trafficking Charges After Drugs, Weapons Seized
Police seized cocaine, methamphetamine, and weapons during an arrest in Owen Sound. A 24-year-old man faces charges and is due in bail court April 2.
A 24-year-old Owen Sound man is facing multiple charges after police say drugs and weapons were seized during an arrest on an unrelated matter.
According to the Owen Sound Police Service, officers took the man into custody just after noon on April 1.
During the arrest, police say he was found in possession of a quantity of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, along with an electronic scale and packaging materials. The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately $5,300.
Police also report seizing brass knuckles and a replica air pistol.
Charges and Court Appearance
The accused has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, and two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police have not released the name of the accused. He is scheduled to appear in bail court on April 2.
The charges have not been proven in court.
