Owen Sound City Council meets Monday, Dec 18, with open session beginning at 5:30pm in council chambers. You can view the meeting via Rogers TV or on the City’s Council and Committees webpage.
Highlights:
Grey Sauble Conservation Authority will present its 2024 draft budget, with a levy increase of about $1.60 per household to a total of approx. $56 per year.
Mayor Boddy will present a ‘Year End Wrap Up’ report.
Council will receive a report on the Multi-Year Capital Plan (2024-2028), which includes $100.8 million in funded projects and $47.0 million in unfunded capital.
Council will be asked to approve a $644,081.78 tender for New 911 Dispatch Centre Construction and a $430,371.53 tender for Tom Thomson Art Gallery AHU Replacements and BAS Upgrades.
Transport Canada is amending the City’s lease for lands that comprise the north portion of Kelso Beach at Nawash Park and an adjacent water lot and increasing rates each year from $607.30 + HST in July 2023 to $3,036.50 + HST in July 2028.
Council will receive a report on who’s been selected to serve in public seats on City Committes and Boards in 2024.
