Owen Sound City Band Launches Free Summer Concert Series on Mondays in Harrison Park
The Owen Sound City Band, celebrating 105 years in 2025, kicks off its free Monday concert series in Harrison Park on July 7 with guest conductor Ted Graper.
The Owen Sound City Band, directed by Julia Richards, will begin its annual Free Summer Monday Concert Series in Harrison Park on July 7, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
The opening performance will feature special guest conductor Ted Graper, formerly of the Tombstones.
Concerts will continue on July 14, 21, and 28 at 7:30 p.m., and on August 11, 18, and 25 at 7:15 p.m. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for comfort. Concerts will proceed outdoors unless there are thunderstorms or high winds.
Audiences can expect an eclectic program titled Music of Many Styles and Vintages, including show tunes, marches, swing, traditional, and contemporary selections.
The Owen Sound City Band, established in 1920, is celebrating its 105th anniversary in 2025. It continues to play an active role in the community, welcoming new musicians and performing regularly throughout the region.
The nearby Harrison Park Inn Restaurant will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through the end of August for concertgoers’ convenience.
