Owen Sound Attack Parts Ways with Head Coach Greg Walters
Attack GM announces end of OHL team's relationship with coach after just two seasons
Dale DeGray, General Manager of the Owen Sound Attack, announced a significant change within the organization on Monday, as Head Coach Greg Walters has been relieved of his coaching duties. The team's Assistant Coaches, Darren Rumble and Sean Teakle, will assume coaching responsibilities for the foreseeable future.
During his tenure with the Owen Sound Attack, Greg Walters led the team for just over two seasons, achieving a commendable record of 71 wins, 56 losses, 12 overtime losses, and 4 shootout losses. Under his guidance, the Attack currently holds the 4th seed in the Western Conference.
Walters, a former professional ice hockey player, skated 248 games in the American Hockey League and 241 games in the International Hockey League. He was drafted to the NHL in 1990 but never made it out of the minor leagues.
